Ukulele Chord Mania “A Major” Chord EASY UKE TUTORIAL

by Terry

I will explain the “A Major” open position chord in the LIVE tutorial.

Last week, I think I got a little carried away with the “F Minor” chord and overlooked the importance of “A Major” chord.

Many popular numbers such as “Sittin’ On The Dock of the Bay” by Otis Redding, “Blvd. of Broken Dreams” by Green Day, and “Nobody Knows You When You’re Down and Out” by Jimmy Cox (although made famous by Bessie Smith and Eric Clapton) use the “A Major” chord.

I will not only explain the notes that make up this chord but also the music theory behind this chord. I will also teach you how to transpose this chord so that you will be able to play this exact shape throughout the fretboard.
